This afternoon’s book salon at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT, will be with Bruce Kluger and David Tabatsky.

For a compilation book they’ve put together entitled "Dear President Obama: Letters of Hope From Children Across America."  The letters are refreshingly frank, full of the same issues that adults are trying to manage…but with a kid’s ability to cut through the social niceties to the heart of the issue at hand.

 From racial tension to the environment, from gay marriage to the economy, and back again — the book runs the gamut.

I’ll be hosting the discussion and hope you can join us.

Headed out to New Orleans this morning. Will see everyone else on the back end of the week.

It’s Sunday morning. YAWN. Coffee’s brewing somewhere, I’m sure. Looks like it might be a good day for a great book. I started the Little House books with The Peanut last night, reading her the very first chapter of Little House in the Big Woods for her bedtime story. I’m not sure which one of us liked it best, frankly.

This could be sweet if it leads to a real breakthrough.

It’s graphic, so be forewarned before watching.

Having worked on any number of these legal cases through the years, I can tell you that no type of case is more complex or difficult than domestic abuse.
