I have seen up close in our practice the results of scare tactics being promoted. Both myself and the doc I work for have been encouraging our elderly patients that adding a public option will only benefit our community since it has been hit hard with the loss of furniture and textile jobs. </p> <p>So my sorrow for the loss of Ted Kennedy in this debate is now filled with the hope that his spirit will fill our Congress and President with the resolve to win this battle.</p> I have been very cynical about the chances of real reform.
