Her district would try to set up programs in summer, too, in order to have a way to feed kids who would need it. </p> <p>I’m wondering, now, given the budget crises in so many states, if they are still able to do that. My peanut is starting 2nd grade but there were a few new kids starting kindergarten at the bus stop this year — with tearful younger siblings in tow.
