SCOTUS: Jeff Sessions’ Talking Point Meets Reality Pushback

It sucks when reality is caught on tape, doesn’t it?

Pitiful.  Just pitiful.

Morning Christy,
Hope you have had your coffee. These Republicans just don’t get that all these clips are available. I keep getting the impression that none of them get computers but even more don’t get U-Tube. They are dinosaurs stuck in the middle 1900’s. We have left tham all behind. My observations of yesterday morning are even more obvious after another day of watching. Thanks to Senator Al for pointing out the right wing activists on the court now.

Morning all — coffee’s brewed and I’m getting set up for another day. We supposedly have some thunderstorms moving in today, but thus far they’ve held off this morning. We’ll see how things go for the day as we go along.

The plan is to liveblog again this morning. We get to witness panels today. More on that coming up…

Christy,
I just sent some info on helping dogs that are afraid of thunder to your email address. It took two emails as I forgot to add the copy and paste to the first one. It does reqire a homeopathic remedy but could help your old one. I have not used it as none of my crew care but I trust the judgement of the source and she has seen it work.

Oh, thanks so much! Really appreciate it — it’s getting worse as she gets older, so I really appreciate the tip.

Whew — managed to get my crockpot filled with ingredients for some navy bean soup. Will get a loaf of fresh bread into the bread machine at the lunch break and we might actually get a healthy meal today between the liveblogging. *g*

Mmmmmm…. Dinner sounds great. :)

WRT Sessions’ very serious concerns that Sotomayor hasn’t been as clear as Alito & Roberts. He may have a point — they sounded quite clear. Every gazillionth time they said “I can’t comment.”

Heh.

Has the nature of these hearing changed since they have been telecast? Like political conventions, has television upped the blather and predictability lessened the substance and spontaneity?
