The weather is beautiful. I’ve taken lots of photos. Yesterday was windy and the lake had huge whitecaps. I love the Great Lakes. Spent the day on the shore of Lake Michigan where it was sunny, cool, breezy and thankfully bug-free. It was a nice fix until I make it to my folks’ place on Lake Superior next month. There’s nothing quite like the sound of waves lashing the lake shore for relaxation.

I made my first trip ever west of the Mississipi a couple of years ago and fell in love with Northern California. We flew in to San Francisco and drove up the coast to Cresent City and spent a week in the redwood forests. I cried the whole flight home,I didn’t want to leave.
