Nope - but it says July 4th, so I assume they’re referring to Declaration of Independence.
btw, this is in San Antonio, Eisenhauer Rd.

I just saw a piece on ch. 5 news from a “tea party” in Marion, where they seem to be expecting both Perry and Wruzelbacher.
Got a good 2-3 min. report - a long piece for local news.
Hunh - where the heck is Marion? (off to the google map)

Happy Fourth, anybody who’s coming by late, like me.

That list up there reminds me = I got the ingredients for tabouli and keep forgetting to make it. And it’s so easy.

Question = Has anyone heard of Independence Day being renamed “Declaration Day?” Is it a fundie or wingnut thing?
Drove by (Protestant, forget denominatio) church a week ago and saw a notice on its board for “Declaration Day Service.” on the 4th.

Seems strange to me.
Anyone, off to the kitchen. No real cookin or bakin goin on - it’s our 16th straight day when it will reach 100 degrees or above. No point making the ac work harder than it already is.

A gazpacho that’s so easy it’s criminal:

5 ripe tomatoes, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 cucumber, quartered then sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
2 cups white corn fresh or frozen
1 green pepper, cut into square pieces
1 cup fresh chopped cilantro
1 large can tomato juice
(other crunchie veggies as desired, i.e., edamame, zucchini, etc.)

Mix all ingredients and chill in refrigerator.

I’m very late to this thread, but you might want to look at youtube of the Barbecue Pit Boys. They show all the steps for charcoal grilling and easy recipes, and they look very delicious when they are complete. They have a ton of different youtubes featuring beef, pork and seafood recipes.

I miss you as well. I have backed off the beer abit. Spec’s turned out to be less good than I would have thought, and my regular store has quit stocking it….so, I have to score in odd places…..I do have an occ. craving, and the nearby liquor store has said he mak e stock it. Just a little persistence. Good for your workout routine….I am so off & on,,,,and can feel it.Ugh ;)

Yeah, hey you too. Oh, the job is pretty typical bs. Lots of politics in the office. The staff v. the manager. blah, blah, blah. Little tiny paycheck makes me happy, but the hours sure cut into my day. I go to the gym at 7 am now and then race around to get things done here.
I actually am enjoying the challenge of multi-tasking and the greater challenge of taking the high road when it comes to dealing with crabby people. *g*
Got your ginger beer to go along with your dogs/burgers chips?
