Hey Christy!
Just caught up on your posts. That DOJ post was SUPER!
Hope you are having a great time. Jane has been hitting the Action Alert and you would be proud. EW, is in the weeds big time and well everyone else is working the netroots crowd. EW linked to Whitehouse’s speech and it is a Must-watch and listen. History making in my opinion. The comments are worth reading too. There is so meat on the comment bones which I think you would appreciate.
Safe travel. Hope the link is a good one!
Take care.
Good Morning Christy – so happy for you and The Peanut
saw this over at Big Orange and thought it was kewl
AMC Theatres arranging special screenings of UP for Autism Families:
In partnership with the Autism Society of America, we bring AMC Sensory Friendly Films to families affected by autism on a monthly basis to select communities. The program provides a special opportunity for families to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. The auditoriums dedicated to the program have their lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing!
our youngest was something of a special needs kid (hypersensitive to light and sound) until about 12 – this would have been perfect for him –
good corporate citizenship – and of course, the diary made me cry
I had not heard that about AMC … they have just won my loyalty. I have a 12-year-old son with an autism spectrum disorder, and I took him (and his older sister) to see “Up” this past weekend at an AMC theatre. He doesn’t need the special accommodations, but I sure appreciate that AMC would do that for families with children who need it. BTW, it was a wonderful movie, I would not hesitate to recommend it for all ages.
Oh, and to steal a phrase from TBogg, Michael Savage can go eat a bag of … well, nevermind, this is the peaceful side of FDL.
Be safe..Now we can hear both about your Peanut trip and the NO venture….you are having quite a summer. Fantastic!!
