It is an excellent diary that discusses the 5-4 decision the Supreme Court announced today in the Caperton v. A. T. Massey Coal Co. case. This case arose in West Virginia and concerns whether a justice on the Supreme Court of Appeals, Justice Brent Benjamin, should have recused himself after having received $3,000,000 in campaign contributions from one of the litigants.
