I am wondering how much time the couple may have had to spend in Audubon Park….how it looks, and where they decided to eat. Happy Holiday, all.
I’ve heard anecdotal evidence regarding use for spectrum disorder in the young with positive results – ability to focus and interact, but not regarding dementia.
When my brother had cancer and was found to be deathly allergic to compazine (anti-emetic) his oncologist recommended marijuana. Smoke was do-able as he couldn’t barf it back up and it did help with loss of appetite. Please note that he was and is a pleasure user of weed, but while ill, he just wasn’t as interested in it except when really, really barfy and shitty.
My mom is suffering dementia and doing the long slow retreat. I haven’t considered whether she might benefit, but if she was interested, I would make a tea rather than roll a smoke.
Many food products are now available at most compassionate care shops. Two birds with one stone perhaps.
Best wishes and good luck jloc

Any members of the community have any thoughts (or first hand accounts) on medical cannabis. We have two loved ones for who we are thinking it may be useful.
One is a 71 yearl old suffering from alzeimhers/dementia.
The other is a ten year old with a dignosis of autism spectrum disorder with generalized anxiety.
Conventional pharmaceuticals have not been particularly satisfactory in either case.
Sorry for the heavy topic on a Saturday, but I find FDL to be a place where gifted people have many informative points of view and the situations here are at crisis state so I decided to give it a try.
